***Submitting an Opt-Out request only prevents the sharing of your electronic medical information by the Kansas Certified Health Information Exchanges (HIE). If you received medical care from a provider or organization that uses a non-certified HIE, then you will need to file an additional opt-out request with that provider or organization.
Opt-Out
By completing the opt-out process, patients can restrict Kansas approved health information organizations (HIO) from sending electronic health information between health care organizations. Opt-Outs may be revoked at any time.
Revoke Opt-Out
Patients may revoke previous restrictions that prevent Kansas approved health information organizations (HIO) from sending electronic health information between health care organizations by completing the Revoke Opt-Out process.
